Diano Castello

 
Diano Castello – built around the tenth century under the name of Castrum Diani – it originates as an outpost of defense against Saracen pirates’ incursions.
The small village stands on the high grounds of the counterfort that divides the valley of San Pietro from the valley of Varcavello.
